Government Grants.
Funding is available to agriculture, food and seafood businesses to support the adoption of new or improved traceability systems, practices, technologies and infrastructure in British Columbia. The programs aim to enable businesses to meet existing and emerging market and regulatory requirements for traceability systems.

Programs are jointly funded by Canada and the Province of British Columbia as part of the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership, a federal-provincial-territorial initiative.

The Traceability Adoption (TAP) program offers up to $20,000 in cost-shared funding to individual food, seafood and agriculture businesses to implement facility-based traceability practices systems, infrastructure and technologies. Funding is also available for training and consulting services.

The Traceability Value Chain (TVC) program provides cost-shared funding up to $75,000 towards the adoption of information sharing systems that will enhance agrifood and seafood traceability among supply chain partners. The TVC program is intended for agriculture, food and seafood sector organizations, commercial food hubs and value chain partners.

Funding support is available for agriculture, food and seafood industry organizations to educate their membership about traceability systems, practices, infrastructure and technologies. Applications to fund a speaker or events focused on traceability can be submitted during the spring and fall intake periods of the Knowledge and Technology Transfer Program (KTTP).
Industry organizations may apply for funding to support knowledge or skills development on a relevant traceability topic. These topics may include, but are not limited to:
